BIO
“Redefining Real Country” is a bold statement, but a declaration of uniqueness mixed with boundary-breaking country songs. Hailing from Lubbock, Texas, the duo has set out to carve their own path in the country music scene by mixing the twang of traditional country, lush harmonies, and the guitar-driven energy of rock-n-roll.
TexWestus took an accidental spoonerism and turned it into a soon-to-be household name. Their unique sound has taken the duo from humble beginnings in the hallways of the South Plains College Commercial Music building to sold-out crowds on major stages.
Their song catalog celebrates that sound - from haunting ballads, such as Gone, to the thick, swampy grooves of Can’t Slow Us Down, and tales of a ‘love em and leave em woman’ in Houston, You’ve Got a Problem. Their sound is rooted in the excitement of their high energy shows and packed with songs that create a “life-changing musical experience” for each and every listener. These experiences have led to a list of musical milestones - including airplay on Texas Regional Radio, winners of 95.9 The Ranch's Ranch Factor in 2019, and sharing the stages at major festivals with Cody Jinks, Shane Smith, and the Saints, Roger Creager, Parker McCollum, and Koe Wetzel. They are sponsored by Coors Banquet and Red Dirt Hat Company.
In September 2021, the duo released their highly anticipated EP, Nothing to Lose, from which their song Nothin' To Lose (But the Lonely) was picked up by two Spotify Editorial Playlists: Texas Music Now and Fresh Finds Country. This sent their listener numbers skyrocketing to over 16,000 overnight.
